Contact QR for cards and badges
Include the fields people actually need: name, role, phone, email and optionally a website or company. Extra empty fields waste matrix space and make the code denser.
Keep the same spelling you use on the printed card so nothing looks mismatched after the save.
Cards, badges and email signatures
On paper cards, reserve a quiet corner for the square. On event badges, print larger — people scan while walking. In email, a QR is optional; a plain link may be clearer on desktop.
For networking events, a contact QR beats dictating a phone number over loud music.
Privacy note
Anything in the QR can be read by anyone who scans. Do not encode private internal numbers or personal addresses you would not hand out on a card.
