Event-day QR codes
A check-in URL, a schedule page and a venue map are three different jobs. Separate codes (or clearly labelled sections on a program) beat one overloaded square that confuses guests.
Print larger codes at entrances where people are moving; smaller codes can live on badges for contact details.
Stress-test before doors open
Generate codes days ahead. Walk the venue with airplane mode off and on. Confirm the pages work on cellular data when venue Wi‑Fi is saturated.
Have a human-readable backup (short URL or desk staff) if scanners fail in bright sun.
After the event
If the code was editable, point it to a thank-you page or photo album. Static codes for a finished event can stay as memorabilia; just do not promise live updates.
